It features fast-cutting silicon carbide grain, resin over resin bonding, and a closed-coat structure on a durable Y-weight waterproof polyester backing—balancing performance with affordability.
Silicon carbide is an extremely hard abrasive with a sharp, crystalline structure that produces fine, straight-edged scratch patterns. It excels in applications requiring light cutting pressure and is widely used for grinding nonferrous materials such as brass, copper, bronze, wood, glass, rubber, and plastics, as well as finishing polyurethane, primers, lacquers, and sealers.
The closed-coat construction ensures a high density of cutting points, resulting in higher stock removal rates, longer abrasive life, and a smoother surface finish.
WEEM 1126 wide belts are custom-made to your specifications and use a strong bi-directional tape splice, with four joint types available to suit different sanding machine requirements.
